I have been using SEC for about 3-4 months. I am getting about 7000 hits from Googlebot the last month or so. Is this number low are high, what should I expect. I have about 1000 pages listed in Google and getting about 2000 unique visitors per month.

G'Day theonlygeek, those numbers look good.
Are you generating income from those or are they mostly bots? I have found that lots of uniques don't always mean real visitors. Check the length of time they are on your site, less than 30secs means you are losing them as fast as they are arriving. If that's the case you need to do more to make your site sticky. Computers are like R/C aircon, just doesn't work properly with windows open. |

If they are arriving to cloaked pages then they shouldn't be stuck there at all. They should be thrown out of there like a boomerang!  Optimized Cloaking Templates |

That's true Ralf but uniques shouldn't be showing up in the logs at all, the .htaccess and script combination should be doing all redirecting before the logs get a page load recorded.
So the question remains about the time. You could always set up an exit survey to find out why the visitors are leaving and what they were actually looking for, can help you better target them. Computers are like R/C aircon, just doesn't work properly with windows open. |
