been using sec off and on for a good 18 months now and i like to think that i can get pretty good results from it however in the last 6 months i must admit that i have been working with another cloaker - ssec as it was easier to set up sites the way i run them. Anyhows i'm going to have another play with SEC and try a few things so see how i get on.

I plan on promoting some online shops and setting up sec to send users to the exact product page which they have clicked on - the method of which i may yet to decide as i know a couple of ways of doing this. I will be using EWI for my content and to make the sites and try and fool google into thinking my ewi/sec sites are infact wordpress blogs - easily done.

Going to start off with a few sites this evening and will post the results.

Anyone else out there post your progress will be good to see how people are getting on and will give hope to new users

I too am starting up with SEC again and am starting from scratch, so today I just finished my first template, haven't got EWI yet, but I have used it enough to know exactly how to operate the pages like it does, takes more time to do it manually, but hey, after getting screwed over by SSEC I'm willing to do whatever it takes to start getting traffic again.

I'll keep on this thread as well, we'll see how well the knowledge I got from that forum gets my SEC sites ranked even higher

finally got the site i want to promote back up. It's an online shop i own ranking very well in Google - position 1-5 for most of it's terms even with results in the millions however despite having about 2k pages indexed out of 73000 products it's getting baout 80 users a day so need to get more traffic to it i think.

Will let the site get it's own traffic direct to the product as it seems to be good at doing that i will try and drive some more generic terms to the homepage using sec

ok finally got round to setting up the sec sites for this. The site itself is ranking very very well for the product names on it so im not going to worry about cloaking for those as the googlebot loves the sites and is indexing 100s more pages a week so my traffic is going up, instead im going for generic terms. It a fashion site so instead of a type of shirt going for terms such as 'cheap shirts, designer shirts' and so in. the terms which get many more searches a day

right then quick update. about 40 hours since putting site up and have about 250 pages indexed in Google and had 39,871 Gbot. Not a bad start.

No real hits yet but to be expected. Checking a few pages in the results they seem to be average about position (not page!!) 8 for their keywords which generally have about 47k results.

The site will be run in test mode for a couple of weeks as i have a spamming script installed in the template which means whenever a real user clicks on the page it users the ip of that user to spam my page out with the keyword of the page forming the anchor text of the backlink. Also running a macro clicking all my pages too so thats spamming them out for me so should see some backlinks starting to appear very soon.

When i get a moment am going to do some social bookmarking. Currently looking at getting a copy of Bookmaking Demon 4. Pricey but looks good.

I have been using Bookmarking Demon for the last year and it kicks ass!

The new Version 4 is a total revamp and looks wonderful!!!

I am in the process of setting up a PRIVATE network of social bookmark sites all aged domains, all with a minimum of page rank 2!!! And it's private and moderated... so it will not be spammy! Much better results.

I have about 12 of the sites setup now. My plan is to have a total of 30 in the network to start.

In addition.. the new BMW works with Pligg. I am thinking about the same thing for a private Pligg network. Still working out the bugs.

Carl, which is the script you use on the templates for getting backlinks -- I persume is it immortalpromoter or something.

webgrafix, its cool that BMD does those pligg sites as well. I am also thinking of a similar strategy here.

I think we can combine our networks for even greater results.

BMD "will" do Pligg sites... just not yet. It's still in Beta, and the current beta does not support Pligg just yet.

My bitch at BMD is I paid for this about 1 year ago ... It cam ewith all future update then they decided to do a complete redo and we don't get new copy free . Sucks.

You are entitled to a free copy of the latest BMD version. You are in good standing. You probably missed the e-mail sent out by the owner. If that is the case send him an e-mail.

right then, a quick update Been messing about with sec and have about 50,000 pages indexed in google at the moment and pulling traffic. i am not doing much with these hits at present other than showing uncloaked ewi sites as i will be reverting them all to a landing page script which i am developing.

All being well should be able to turn hits into pennies by Christmas. My orginal objctive was 10,000 hits a day. For one reason or another i will not make that but 2500-3000 a day should be easily doable and 10,000 by the end of Jan all being well.

I have had one problem of late and that is promoting too many merchants. I have previously taken the approach of advertising for all the merchants on a networks and if you have 50 merchants with even an average of 1000 pages per merchant it can take ages to get the traffic to the ones which sell.

Now i have identified a list merchants which sell pretty well i will make all future sites for these people first and then once they are indexed i will begin to add new merchants
