Never There (50) |
Hello,
I have recently purchased SEC and SLURL, so I'm new to this community. But, have been dabbling in the world of blackhat SEO with other tools for about 7 years, with various degrees of success. I have a question about SLURL. If a link is made up of 2 words, for example "blue widgets" (seems to be a board favorite then the url appears correctly as blue-widgets.html. But, if a link has 3 or more words, for example "round blue widgets" then my link is coming out as round%20blue%20widgets.html. Any suggestions? Also, since I just purchased SLURL a couple of days ago, is the upgarde to SLURL Ver 2 going to be a free upgarde? Thanks for the help! |

I'll post the upgrade costs for SLURL 2.0 soon. Regarding your problem, contact me by PM or email and I'll fix your problem for you. It sounds like an htaccess setup issue that I can easily help resolve. Write me at gdog[AT]spidercode.com.

Thanks, Dewpoint! I just started working on my SLURL and didn't know about that bug.
What I did is I took my keywords, put them all in microsoft word 2003, and did the following. "Replace space" with "-" So all my keywords have hyphens already in between words. I didn't hit submit yet but this should work, I'm about to test it out soon. I didn't realize it but the only problem with this method is your links in your cloaked page will also have the hyphens between words. Not sure if this will cause problems in terms of SEO but oh well. Hope this helps. |

Hey Dude, I had a similar problem with those %20% symbols. I used the "-" in my keywords to eliminate it. So far it has no negative search engine effects on my SEC pages. I have the spiders coming in everyday plus getting top listings in google. Hope that helps. SEC Template Spinner |

Looks like it was an issue with the way I had my .htaccess set up, and not a problem inherant with SLURL. Thanks gdog for fixing it straight for me! It now works like a charm.

Hi Leman,
I think in your case it may be a setup issue as I'm seeing in your PM. I will help you get it setup correctly. Look for my PM. |
